Angela's Story

I grew up in a family where hard work wasn’t optional — it was a way of life. We did whatever it took to keep food on the table, and as the youngest in the family, I learned early on that everyone had to pitch in. My first “job” started at age seven, and I’ve carried that entrepreneurial spirit with me ever since.

After spending years in the corporate world, my life took an unexpected turn in April 2020. As the world shut down, I lost my job — and with it, a big part of my identity. It was a humbling experience, one that forced me to pause and ask myself what I truly wanted. The answer was clear: it was time to follow my passion and create something meaningful from the ground up.

That’s when my first small business (Gritz n Glitz) was born — a brand built from resilience, creativity, and a love for natural, handcrafted body care. Every product was, and still is, made with natural, responsibly sourced ingredients, blended in small batches to ensure freshness and quality.

About a year into my journey, a group of bikers at one of our outdoor events asked if one of my skin products could double as a beard cream…and it worked like a charm! The response was so overwhelmingly positive that it inspired the creation of ‘Calm the Bush’, now one of the most popular products in our lineup. Next up: beard washes, conditioners, waxes, pomades, and beyond — crafted to tame, style, and elevate every beard.

My promise is simple: to create products that are kind to your hair, your skin, and the planet. Every product is plant based, cruelty and chemical free, and my essential and fragrance oils are hand-blended by me to craft unique scents you won’t find anywhere else.

Today, I continue to honor the same values that started this journey — hard work, honesty, and self-care. My personal mission is to show that when you treat your body with kindness and intention, amazing things happen — inside and out.
